How endurance analysis differs

The existing 60- and 120-second pages emphasize one duration total and average CPS. This page divides a continuous long session into ten-second segments and compares how pace changes across the run. The 90-second option remains an internal mode rather than a separate SEO route.

Segment and tail rules

Each timestamp is assigned to floor(timestamp / 10,000). Segment CPS is count divided by ten seconds; if a future duration has a shorter tail, that tail divides by its actual seconds. Best and slowest use segment CPS, average uses all presses divided by selected duration, and charts include a text summary.

Decline and consistency formulas

CPS decline equals (first segment CPS − last segment CPS) / first segment CPS × 100. A positive value means the final segment was slower; a negative value means it was faster. A zero first segment returns zero. Consistency uses the same published coefficient-of-variation score as the CPS analysis page, clamped to 0–100.

Interruption rules

A formal endurance run cannot pause and resume. Losing focus or leaving the visible tab invalidates it because elapsed time and continuous attention conditions changed. The page never forwards endurance results to the standard counter leaderboard. Repeat keydown events are filtered, and editable controls do not count as presses.

Comfort and limits

Use a comfortable position and ordinary key force. Stop if you feel pain, numbness, or discomfort. The pacing curve describes browser input, not fatigue diagnosis, muscle strength, rehabilitation progress, or health. Keyboard construction, polling, connection, browser scheduling, and personal conditions influence the result.

Making comparisons useful

Repeat the same duration only after an appropriate break and keep the keyboard, browser, hand position, and technique unchanged. Compare the full segment pattern instead of focusing only on the strongest ten seconds. The chart and text summary describe the same local array, so results remain understandable without color. Reset an interrupted run rather than reconstructing missing time or presenting the remainder as formal endurance data.

A sixty-second run creates six full segments, ninety seconds creates nine, and 120 seconds creates twelve. More segments provide a longer pacing picture but also demand a longer continuous session; they are not automatically “better” results. Read the first and last segment beside the average, best, and slowest values. A negative decline percentage simply means the final segment was faster than the first. It should not be relabeled as recovery, conditioning, or a health effect. No result is uploaded, shared automatically, or represented as a site-wide average.

Consistency can stay high at either a fast or a slow pace because it measures variation, not magnitude. Likewise, two runs can share an average while following different segment curves. Preserve both the selected duration and full segment list when making a personal note. The endurance page intentionally avoids a public ranking because touch mode, pause behavior, device class, and review rules would need a separate fairness specification before scores could be compared responsibly.
